QUEDAR vs. QUEDARSE in Spanish

The verb QUEDAR means a lot of things in Spanish…

1) “to agree on a time and place to meet”

• QUEDAMOS para mañana a las 3 en punto

• LET’S MEET tomorrow at 3 o’clock

2) “to agree on something”

• QUEDAMOS en ver esta película juntos

• WE AGREED to watch this film together

3) “to remain / left”

• QUEDA poco tiempo para llegar a la estación

• Little time LEFT to get to the station

And the same verb in it’s “Reflexive Form” QUEDARSE means….

4) “to remain / stay physically in a place”

• NOS QUEDAMOS una semana más en este lugar

• WE REMAIN / STAY one more week in this place
